Heart Rate not reading

my surge does not read heart rate very accurately or consistently. More times then not during a workout it -- and no reading. It also seems as though sometimes it's very low when I'm working out. Is anyone else having a similar issue? Is there a software fix or something ? I've tried moving it up my arm, wearing it tighter, wearing it with the detector on the inside of my wrist. Nothing helps

@Cookie611 thanks for joining us! Hey just out of curiosity, have you tried restarting your Surge? That might do the trick. To do so please follow these steps:

  1. Press and hold the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) on your Fitbit Surge for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. After your screen turns completely off, wait 10 seconds and press the Home button to turn your Surge back on.

After restarting it, keep an eye to your Surge's HR behavior. Also, I see you mentioned that you have tried moving it up your arm, wearing it tighter, wearing it with the detector on the inside of your wrist to no avail, but I recommend checking out this post explaining a little bit more about it (it's in a Charge HR thread but it also applies for the Surge as well). Hope this helps, keep me posted!
