Heart rate alert

Could someone tell me if it is possible/ will be possible to be alerted when I fail to attain my target heart rate zone? Reason for my asking is that it is extremely harzardous for a runner to run with eyes glued on the Surge or any other Fitbit devices while on training runs or marathons

Hi Wendy, thank you for your reply. I am still trying to figure how to vote for it. As for my Surge, I am starting to regret the purchase. I purchased it to replace my Timex Global Ironman Trainer (which was my first GPS equiped Heart Rate Monitor and completely died on me). So far I am extremely disappointed with the Surge and miss my old Timex Global Ironman Trainer whose only fault was the time taken to acquire my GPS co-ordinates since it uses SIRF III and everytime I get caught in a marathon bottleneck when everybody's heart rate monitor goes crazy.

@wings2shoes Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I recommend voting for this suggestion just as @WendyB suggested. For the moment, Fitbit trackers does not include heart rate alerts, but I think that will be a great addition. I already voted for the suggestion. To vote just click on where it says "votes". I left a picture below showing how it looks!

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy
