Nice to see your here @Foxtrot.er! How you doing my friend? Welcome, welcome!
Quick questions! What do you mean with "...have continuous read out for heart rate..." If you're referring on how to check your Heart Rate for the day or previous days after syncing! You will have the option to tap on the Heart Rate tile on the Fitbit Dashboard, taking in count that you're using a mobile device. This tile will take you to the general information to see the HR data, pick the day that you want to see and tap on the graph (if you swipe to the right you will see previous days).
If you're talking about how to see in your Fitbit Dashboard the same information that your Surge is showing, as live data. You just need to sync your Surge with your Fitbit App, using a compatible mobile device. You will see in your Dashboard the same HR data that is on your Surge.
Let me know if this was your question or post back your inquiry so I can lend a hand with that!
I'll be around!

Hi @Foxtrot.er, thanks for getting back to me with those details!
Why don't you try with your PC, using the Fitbit.com Dashboard? On the "Activity + Stats" tile you can get the HR information during the day.
Hope this helps!
