Help with notifications(surge)

My girlfriend and I just got Fitbit Surges. We both have the iPhone 6 and both are updated with latest update (9.2). We have the same settings in messages and on the surge themselves. Mine will receive both text and call notifications, however hers will only receive call notifications. I've searched the forum, yet there seems to be no resolutions for the absence of text notifications. Please so I can have a happy girlfriend haha. Thanks in advance!

Ok this is ridiculous. There is no explanation for this. Taking both of them back tomorrow and going with something else!

@Sippi A warm welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm so sorry for the late reply and your post caught my attention since it has no response. I'd like to know if you returned your trackers since I'd like to follow up on this. Also, what troubleshooting steps did you try?

Yes, I retuned both of them. It was too frustrating, they never would give us the notifications. They were on notifications on the app, Bluetooth on, notifications on Fitbit. Still would not work. Called customer support and they couldn't tell me either. I ended up taking them back. Haven't gotten anything else, thinking about getting us both a garmin or Apple Watch, but we'll see. She likes the Alta and I like the blaze, but not about to fork out the money for them if they are going to do the same thing.
