Just quit on my 2nd Surge. First one was replaced after 7.5 months for battery issues. Second one started having home button issues at about 7 months. Issues were "non responsive home button", started as intermittent BUT soon became quite frustrating, as button would refuse to work when wanting to select an alternate screen.
Support had me "clean" button, but that didn't solve it.
Got so bad that I couldn't even do a reset.
I complained that the replacement should last at least a year but it was pointed out to me that the warranty was 1 year from the time of purchase. I was offered the 25% discount. Not especially happy about the that.
I'm so entrenched in the fitbit eco system, that I saw only 2 choices. Lose all my info and start up with someone new, or 2, exercise the 25% on a another model.
I went for the Charge 2, I'm hoping it will provide me better service than the Surge, but if not, I'm off to another vendor, historical data be dammed.

Welcome to the Community @johnnfx. Thanks for your feedback about the Fitbit Surge, be sure that this will be taken into consideration. On the other hand, I am glad to hear that you found another tracker ideal for you. I know that you will love the Charge 2 and will be satisfied with your choice.
