How often should steps update on tracker?

I just started using my new Surge this evening.  One thing that I noticed is that the steps do not seem to be updated on the tracker in real time.  I got up from a chair that I was sitting in and took note of the number of steps that I had.  I then went downstairs.  When I got downstairs, I had the exact same number of steps as when I started.  Should the tracker be showing the steps in real time?

Pretty much. There may be a lag of a second or two but I've never noticed more than that. Of course, other things will impact the step count such as holding hand rails on stairs or pushing a trolley.

Personally, I find the Surge slightly less responsive as I walk round the house. I guess I have a more purposeful stride when I'm out and about.
