I'm not sure what changed but suddenly about 3 days ago, I began getting erroneous distances for my walks. If I cross over the same point anywhere in my route (or even come within perhaps 15 - 30 feet of it), it seems to think I have done a lap as it will end up reporting distance only from that point and calories from that point both in the iphone display of last activity distance and in its details. The full map route and mile markers (before and after the intersecting point) are correctly shown though.
Meanwhile, on the Dashboard, it will show the correct full time/distance/calories.
In the log, it shows the incorrect information shown on the iphone.
Has anyone else seen this and, if so, how have you corrected this? I don't think I just began crossing my own path, but I can't rule out that possibility.
Right now, I have to manually add the activity to MyFitnessPal so it will provide the correct caloric information and activity minutes as it will otherwise lose that information in the fitbit totals preceding that lap intersection point.

I had the same thing happen to me last night. I went 3.36 miles but I walked up and down the same street between mile 1 and mile 3. Fitbit says I walked a total of 0.87 miles even though the map clearly shows 3.36 completed. It also shows it correctly on my computer. I haven't yet figured out how to fix it, but would love input if anyone else has some!
