Inaccurate Distance

Surge is not calculating proper distance. Ex: If I use the gps on my surge and walk one mile outside I will have 1,700 steps. If I do not use gps and walk on a treadmill, the treadmill distance output is one mile with approximately 1,700 steps but the distance on the Surge says .19 miles.
This is very very frustrating, this is a constant issue. Any one else experience the same issue? Please help. Ready to give up on the Surge.

Have you set an accurate stride length in your profile? If you are not using GPS, then the distance will be calculated by multiplying the number of steps by the stride length.

If you've left the stride length on the default setting then it will calculate your stride from the figures entered for your height so you'd need to make sure that's correct in these circumstances.
