Inaccurate GPS tracking

I regularly run with a friend and we both have the surge. Often, my device will drop out during the run, which means my splits/times are not accurate. However my friends watch has no issues. Can anyone give me an explanation as to why my watch drops out but hers doesn't. I understand that it may drop out, but I find it frustrating that it's only mine and considering we're together, it makes me think there's more to it. Thanks.

@stak Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Nice to see you here on the forums. Smiley Happy

To begin, I recommend restarting your Surge if you haven't already. The Surge like many other GPS devices can lose signal from time to time depending on the environment you're in. Please also keep in mind your personal details, like height or stride length, might distinguish you from your friend and will yield different results even though you're running the same path.

I suggest monitoring this behavior on your tracker and paying close attention to where it cuts out and on which paths. Let me know if you're still having trouble!
