Using the "workout" setting, I logged 34 minutes of rowing using a Concept 2 rowing machine.
Using the average calories per hour from the machine and adjusted for my weight, my workout burned about 246 calories according to their calculator.
According to my Surge, I burned only 73 calories. That's quite a discrepency. What am I doing wrong? What setting can I use to more accurately assess my rowing machine workouts with the Surge?

Hey hey hey @NewJerseyWriter welcome to the Fitbit Community! I'm so glad to have you here 🙂 Well I do some rowing machine 3 days in the week and use the surge as well. And yes, I've noticed this difference between the rowing machine and my Surge. But let me tell you that this is because the Fitbit Surge was not made to track this type of movement. This is why you wont have the same results as the machine that has been created for this specific exercise. In this case I would suggest to manually log this activity on the activities page as shown bellow.
I hope this help you to better understand this difference. I wish you a wonderful day!
