Help!!

I'm now having major issues with my Fitbit Surge. Part of me is wondering if these things are only designed to last 6 months or so.

Two major issues:

1) The battery now barely lasts for a day. It used to go almost a whole week without charging, now I need to charge every day. Also I don't seem to be getting the "your srge is low on power emails" that I used to get.

2) I now can't sync to my laptop. It keeps asking me to try again, move closer etc - the watch is pretty much right next to the dongle!!

Any ideas? Or do I just need ot bin it and get something decent?

mate I'll be following this thread as mine is about 7mths old and just started to have exactly same problems.  Won't sync to ph app, Ph & watch pair on bluetooth but then drop out without syncing all data.

battery has just started doing exactly as you've described.

If I find a solution will post.

Hi Surfyn,

Well I've sorted the syncing issue.

I restarted the watch, and now everything is syncing again.

I guess it's possible this might resolve the battery issue as well - only time will tell.

Nice to see you here @TheRiddler1976 and @Surfyn! I think that the restart can be of help to solve your battery, and syncing issues. You can check this procedure in @Rich_Laue's post about how to restart your Surge. If the syncing is not restored after the restart, please try setting up your tracker as a new device.

Please keep me posted with the outcome of this! 😉

P.S. @TheRiddler1976 Thanks for sharing how you solve this, this is really helpful for others. Smiley Very Happy

thanks @LucyAP.   I did reset watch a number of times over a week.  Finally worked this evening.  I didn't do anything different but am happy that it finally worked.  Thanks for the tip.  Enjoy your training.
