Issues syncing Surge to iphone

For some reason my surge won't sync data onto my iPhone. It syncs to my iPad though. I have updated iOS, Fitbit app and checked Bluetooth etc. I suspect it might be an apple problem but doesn't anyone have any advice

Are you turning the iPad Bluetooth off so your phone can get a look in? The tracker can only talk to one Bluetooth device at a time.

Awesome - thanks! I didnt even think of that!

Ive turned off ipad bluetooth and fitbit is syncing perfectly on my phone now.
