My surge stopped synching about a week ago and I didn't notice this anomaly. I solved it by using one of the community solutions - just reboot the Surge. The tracker updated today and yesterday. It looks like the data for a week prior is gone. Is there a way to retrieve it?

Hi @ash2jam, thanks for joining us, hope you like what find here!
You did a great job looking for that information in the Forums. Most Fitbit trackers record detailed minute-by-minute data for seven days. Fitbit trackers can store daily totals for up to 30 days. Your Fitbit Surge can store 35 hours of GPS data before deleting some to make room for more. To ensure that all your GPS data is saved to your exercise history.
So it will depend on what's the information that is missing, if your Surge didn't sync a entire day or two for example; it means that most likely it was having hardware issue. Usually the restart fixes those issues, you can keep using it and check how it works this week. There is no way to retrieve this data because your Surge didn't tracked it, even if you were able to see the steps those day on the Surge itself, as mentioned before the Surge didn't save that data as it needed to be reset.
You could manually enter your steps, if you wish to achieve goals for those days; though it won't be counted for challenges. Still, you will have your information there!
Let me know if you need anything else!

YojanaFitbit, just to follow up ... you are correct; my surge synched today and looks like all the missing data was updated to the web dashboard. Looks like it tracked back two weeks!
Thanks again.
