Mile alert vibration with surge

My Surge gave a vibration at each mile when set to run. Then these stopped for no apparent reason. I have tried to activate them again but have failed. Can anyone help? YarJ

It makes no sense as it worked for the first 6 months then suddenly stopped. I have tried many fixes but none work.
