Hello everyone out there,
We purchased a Fit Bit Surge for a Christmas present. The first attempt to get the blasted thing to work was totally frustrating even after spending over an hour on the phone with customer service. We were told to exchange the unit, which we did and attempted to get this second unit to work. We have spent the last 2 hours trying to get this thing to work and had the idea. As were just as frustrated as alot of the customers, we thought we would leave a note with hopes that it might help. I used my USB charger from my cell phone to get some power, and did not use the Windows 10 download option... we used the option for PC. It is now working. Good luck everyone 🙂

Glad you got it working!
The Download is for Pc and windows 10 its the same download. So Im not really sure what you were getting.
I went thru this my self when I upgraded. I was confused.
