Negating calories from Fitbit Surge

Hello,

Im looking to negate any extra calories accumulated throughout the day from the fitbit surge. I am aware of the BMR set amount of calories and I would like to keep calories burnt from exercise but not from my general day to day stuff like walking around the house. Is this possible?

Short of not wearing the Surge (or turning it off) when you're not interested in tracking your movements I'd say No, not practically.

I'm sure someone will suggest logging Driving for all of the periods you don't want counted but:

a) It would be a pain to do

b) it will cancel out your steps as well

c) it will allocate a double BMR calorie count for those periods to account for the extra levels of alertness etc required when driving.
