New SURGE replacement will not connect

 I have had my SURGE replaced as the strap broke.  The service was excellent!  However, the new SURGE will not connect to the phone - it does not seem to be recognised?  Can anyone help?

Did you remove the old Surge from your account first?

Yes, I removed it and re-installed the APP.... Keeps connecting - gives me the code to input and then says error - get a new code - try again - again says error....
