Newbie Fitbit Surge 2 weeks

I am a new user to Fitbit Surge and have been using it for just over 2 weeks.  I'm fairly active managing on average 15k steps a day.  I clean the surge twice a day with the recommended soap free cleanser "Cetaphil" which I ordered seperately that wasn't cheap!  I am happy with the software and the app.  The hardware electronic functionality is good.  However, the strap is causing a lot of skin irritation, rash and splitting & sporing of the skin.  At forst it was a little bit of redness that you would think is from the wearing anything but gradually over the 2 weeks it has got worse.  I don't wear the surge tight and it is lose so you can move it up and down the wrist.  I haven't done any gym exercise with it yet and have just been walking.  I take it off once in the morning and evening before showering at which point I clean it with the soap-free cleanser.  I am worried now because I have spent a sum of money on what I believe to be a great bit of kit, and now for my health it is best for me to not wear it.  What do I do?  Can I swap the item for a blaze in the hope that buying more straps and/or different material straps can help irradicate the problem.  I am disappointed that when buying the item there are no real indicators to say people might be allergic to it.  I have also found that I am getting congested in the ears, nose and throat with it on as opposed to when I have it off.  I believe in the product, the app and the brand as I think its a great idea but I need some help here.  Please can you help! IMAG0266.jpgIMAG0265.jpgIMAG0264.jpgIMAG0267.jpg

Welcome to the Community @freddy1978. I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience you have with your Surge tracker. You might want to make sure that your wristband doesn't feel too tight and that it's snuggled enough for it to be comfortable to wear. Not too tight but not too floppy. However, I recommend taking it off and read our Wear and Care article, I also suggest to reach out our Support Team directly. I am sure they will go above and beyond to take care of this for you.
