Hello there @NCJohnP and @SunsetRunner! That's true @WendyB there is not an estimated timeframe for the next firmware update. It seem you're having issues with your Heart rate readings. Since I don't all the details, I recommend taking a look at this information:
For daily usage, you can wear your tracker just like a watch, there should be a finger between your tracker and wristbone.
While exercising, I recommend wearing your tracker a bit higher. This is because your blood flow increases there.
