Anyone having issues with Surge and loss of Iphone6 text and call notifications? I can't determine when my Surge lost that capability, but I have tried everything I can think of today to no avail. Have uninstalled, reinstalled device, rebooted phone, checked all notification settings on Iphone are correct, all day sync is on, have uninstalled and reinstalled the APP and re-added my device, Surge bluetooth is active, Surge Classic connection is active, still...nada.

One of main reasons I got the Surge was for this functionality, so need a fix. Please let me know if you have any input. TIA.

Fixed with Fitbit support. May have just been doing things out of order. Power down Surge. Wait 10 secs. Turn back on. Turn off Bluetooth on iPhone. Wait 10 secs. Turn bluetooth back on. It automatically reconnected to Surge. I had to manually reconnect to Classic. (I had done this multiple times previously but order of steps must have just been different.)  Text notification came through immediately following these simple steps. 🙂

Try rebooting your Surge klaws,

Press and hold the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) on your Fitbit Surge™ for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim.

Let go of the buttons.

After your screen turns completely off, wait 10 seconds and press the Home button to turn your Surge back on.

If this doesn't help, try "forgetting" your surge as a device under your iPhone bluetooth devices in settings. Turn Bluetooth off (after forgetting the device), then back on and selecting your Surge anew when your iPhone finds it to get a fresh request to re -pair.

No luck but thanks for those suggestions. I have tried those, and did just try again. Still no notifications.

Contact the fine folks on live chat and let them know all these steps you tried,  - be sure to come back and let us know what worked...

The main doublecheck will be that you have:

Allow notifications - On

Show in notification center - On

I have same issue, and none of the suggestions posted have resolved it.  It did work but not sure at what point it stopped.  I did get a replacement Sruge when my old unit's screen cracked.

I tried all of the suggestions posted here, and checked my settings on both iPhone and Surge, but still no luck.

Thoughts?

Surge not being notified when texts arrive and does not vibrate when 10000 steps achieved. Have switched on and off both surge and bluetooth, as directed further down the string, but no joy...

It's nice to see you around the Community @deedee27, hope you're doing good today Woman Very Happy! I'm sorry to hear about this, if you've tried the restart that my friend @wmchapman shares here along with the steps that worked for @klaws (she shares them in her previous post); but they didn't work for you I'd recommend getting in touch with Customer Support directly.

Don't forget to mention the steps you've done so far to avoid getting the same ones, I'm pretty sure they will figure out where the issue is coming from.

Fitbit Support was no help at all.  BUT, this post by wmchapman was right on the money.  Totally works now!!  I told the tech they needed to reference this post in the future, since I wasted 50 minutes on the phone with them.  Allow Notifications and Show In Notification Center.  Yes!!
