Hi @Vigracela and welcome!

Just as a head up, I've moved your post from the iOS forum to the Surge forum to help keep the Community organized.

What's important to note is that your Surge records that you've climbed a flight of stars when it detects continuous motion combined with an elevation gain of 10 ft, it does not record stairs going down. Click here for more details.

Hope this provides some clarification!

I know this. These are the stairs at my home. Fitbit recorded them without problems for years on my old Fitbit One. Then I bought a Surge HR. At first everything was OK, but then they stopped recording them. For instance I went up the stairs 10 times (20 up and down). It recorded 1.

I am hoping the new update will fix the problem as I have already tried deleting and re installing with no difference to the problem.

I notice the same reply sent to many others as I received. Respectfully I think the Fitbit team need to perhaps acknowledge there is a problem.

Thank you for you prompt reply. I realise that you are doing your best to help. Thank you again.
