Option to connect Fitbit with Apple Watch

I've been a loyal Fitbit user for years and I love the App but I just bought an Apple Watch and I'm sad about losing my Fitbit community. I echo the sentiments of others in this forum when I say please allow Apple Watch integration. You can monetize the value of your app for those who use other devices!

That is up to Apple. Fitbit provides a free and open API to any 3rd party developer to integrate their app with Fitbit. It is up to them to use it.

Agree completely - the FitBit app is far superior to Apple's activity page and Fitbit needs to be able to take the GPS/accelarometer readings from the Fit Bit watch and collect it in the Fit Bit software - has nothing to do with Apple development or the Fitbit API - lots of other apps are doing using the new Apple Watch and Fitbit will soon lose its community to those apps- I tried the Surge as a watch for a year and everyone I had broke - terrible product quality - fit bit is on its way to being a Blackberry if they don't adapt

Hey there  @Fitgrl and @Peterwm! It's great to see you here! This is a really good suggestion guys, it'd be really cool to have the best of both worlds! As @SunsetRunner mentioned Fitbit provides a free and open API to any 3rd party developer to integrate their app, but we appreciate your thoughs about in order to have more options.

I found a request similar to the one your offering, "Fitbit / Apple Watch" Add your votes and comments there. This board is constantly being reviewed by our devs to make sure we are delivering on what our customers need. Fitbit is always striving to improve!

I'll be around if you need anything else. Smiley Very Happy

Not sure you guys get it - your API allows other apps to use data from Fitbit devices in their own app - what Fitbit needs to do is use the Apple API (which vendors like Nike, Underarmor, etc. are using to take the data from the Apple watches for their own apps) and modify the Fitbit software so it can use Apple watch data - otherwise, like me, the folks wearing an Apple watch will be leaving the Fitbit communities

Good morning @Peterwm! Thank you for the clarification. This sounds like our team should take a deeper research to know exactly what do do in order to implement that feature. I recommend voting for the request mentioned above; you can also add comments there, so you and the rest of users can show their interest in this option. Smiley Very Happy
