Over counting calories and active minutes

I've been using a charge hr since Christmas and been very pleased with it. I've been entering all my calorie intake and along with upping my exercise managed to lose 13kg and make my target just over a week ago. All the numbers have added up with the calorie deficit matching my weight loss. Last week however I decided to upgrade to a surge and immediately my daily calorie burned has risen by about 1000 per day despit the fact I've backed off the exercise slightly. Any ideas as to what's wrong? Perhaps I should go back to the charge as currently the numbers are meaningless as I know if I up my calorie intake by 1000 I'll start to gain weight. Is this a common surge fault?

Hi there @stockie12. Good to see you around.

I noticed that your post didn't have a response so I wanted to jump in to check if you still need help with this.

The behaviour you mention doesn't sound any good at all. I would recommend in the case you're still having the same problem,  to restart your tracker by pressing the left and lower right buttons together for 10-12 seconds. You will see the display dimming until it turns off and then, just press any button to make it come back on. This should readjust the tracker and fix this and also, in your profile, make sure that information as your height, weight, stride length and other personal information has been correctly entered.

Let me know if you need more help.
