REPLACEMENT SURGE FAILURE

So I am on my 2nd surge. The 1st one's strap failed within 18months of having been given it as a gift. The replacement surge's strap has lasted less than 12 months. Fitbit's response is to offer me 25% of another fitbit.  On the basis of my experience to date why would I ever accept this?

On the first one you  were out of warranty. But you got a replacement anyway

 

The second one is not under warranty
