Recording not working right.

Today my Fitbit is acting weird. It's not recording the right amount of steps I taken. First I can't swipe my screen to shut it down. I did it 3 times. It still stuck in same number when the number should increase in very minute. Is there some way for it to be back to normal where it can read correctly? I can't go to the app and click on mobile phone sync all the time too annoying. If I click on surge synce then the Number will be different and stays at that number. I tried shutting it down and restarting. It's not working. This is so frustrating. Is there anybody else have this problem.
