Red LED light wont shut off on Surge

The red LED light is on, on my Surge. I have updated it with the latest android update and tried restarting the app and my surge and its still on. Should i be concerned. Any help would be appreciated.

It does normally suggest a hardware fault. You could contact customer support to see if they can see more from the server side:
