I am sorry if this matter has already been covered but I could not find a topic with this exact problem.
I own a Surge which sometimes causes the following problem. I complete a full run, though the free run option, finish and see all the data on the Surge screen and when it pairs to my Fitbit app on the phone it doesn't show up as exercise but only as active minutes. This is very annoying, especially if I have done a very good pace and can't keep track of the exercise.
Does anyone know why this happens and if there is a way to turn the active minutes into exercise since it doesn't do it by itself?

Did you manualy start the run option on the Surge?
I'm not sure what Free Run is.
