I often go running at night, alone in places without other people. Is it possible to share my location using the GPS sensors on Fitbit surge? It would let my partner know where I am in case I trip and hurt something.

that's your smartphone job.

don't forget, the Surge doesn't communicate by itself.

 

Fitbit > bluetooth (10 m / 30 ft) -> smartphone/pc/mac -> other

Road ID has a free smart phone app that will do that.
