Screen cracked!

Over the weekend my surge screen cracked with minimal contact. I purchased the surge 2 years ago and it is outside the warranty period I called customer support to find whether the screen can be replaced / Repaired by a local watch repairer. I was advised due to the special screen that that was not the preferred option and as they didn't have a network of repairers they're full I needed to purchase a new watch I spoke to a few local watch repairers and have been advised that they don't have the special glass to fix such cracks now I'm left with the watch that is useless and will need to throw away Fitbit have advised that they would offer me the premium membership which is relevant as I no longer have a working watch in the future I will purchase a Samsung or I watch and be guaranteed that'll be manufacturers that could fix such issues without having to buy a whole new watch
