Sleep Stage Data

Is the Surge able to track the new sleep data that includes all the stages and REM? I not only don't see sleep stage data, I don't even see the sleep efficient vs non-efficient sleep percentages I used to see up until about the last eight months or so. All I get are minutes for Asleep, Restless, and Awake.

Only the Alta HR, Blaze and Charge 2 can get the new sleep stages. See:

This is just ridiculous. All of the "calculation" could be done with the existing hardware. Just rather trivilal to detect the sleep stages when you already got movement + heart rate.

I really don't like the way Fitbit treats older devices. The last update for the device was ages ago even though there are critial bugs with the current version. Guess it's time to look for a proper manufacturer.
