My wife has a Blaze and with the latest update she can see more detail around sleep patterns. It identifies awake, light sleep and deem sleep (REM) and shows her where she fits in the spectrum for healthy sleep patterns. Is this new update going to be available for Surge users via the app? I can see sleep stats, but not as detailed as she can now see.

Hi @CjB929! Hope you are doing great and enjoying some healthy activities.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about your wife's Blaze. In regards of having that option in the Surge, I wouldn't like giving you any false expectations or misleading info, as we don't have any updates in regards this matter. But I think that this could be an excellent suggestion. I would like to encourage you submit it as a suggested idea, where members of the Community can comment and vote for it; so it can be implemented in a future update. This is the best way to make your voice heard.

I would love to have this feature. My wife has a blaze, and loves it. You would think having the top tier device in the Surge. This should be added. I voted!! Let's get this on our Fitbit surges.

I have a charge 2, a blaze and have just got a surge, I wore it in bed last night, and it is using the older, less detailed activity log! Both the charge 2 and blaze have the updated sleep activity log, so is the surge going to get this new version, which is far better with the REM, light sleep, deep sleep, I too have just purchased a surge, I already have a charge 2 and a blaze. I wore it to bed for first time last night and disappointed to see it uses the old sleep activity log, less detailed. Surely the surge can be updated like the other 2 watches to use the new log with more detail

For sure, this needs to be incorporated on the high end versions. I, too, picked up Alt HR's for my kids. They get the detailed report. As surge user, I don't. Should be "in." No doubt. This should be a quick firmware update I would think.

I am thinking that most of the fitbit community is not aware of this enhanced functionality if it is something "new" to just the Alta hr and maybe some other devices.
I don't think many will vote for this functionality unless they know it is possible. I wouldn't have known the capability existed unless I saw my kids' devices.
Maybe it could just be "added"? And have an "opt" out option if user doesn't want it. I can't see why anyone would not want.

I think it is like the other users mentioned, most surge owners would not know about the more detailed sleep stages being reported until they see it on new product purchases or friend's devices. This is really a MUST have function for the high end SURGE device and should be a simple FW fix. Get it done Fitbit!

doubtful that the surge will get it with the ionic out.. We haven't received any updates for a while now and would imagine that fitbit is moving their resources to the other trackers.
