HI--I just upgraded to the Surge from the charge HR. I have had many fitness bands, including 2 Garmins which were totally inaccurate as far as steps and milage are concerned. Anyhow, the only problem I am having with the surge is when I lift. I put it into "weights" mode and it loses about 1/2 mile in the total. If I don't lift, the steps equal my stride length I have set-up. Steps X my stride length=miles. However,if I lift I lose about 1/2 mile. An example---- If I don't lift and walk about 4400 steps it will be 2 miles. If I DO lift it will say 4400 steps=11/2 or so miles. Does anyone have any ideas?--Thanks

Hello @indianwin2001, It's great to have you here! 🙂 When you use the multisport or exercise mode on your tracker all steps, calories, and active minutes recorded by your tracker are overridden for the duration of the logged activity by the activity's entered values. This might be the reason why you see the change on your information.

Let me know if this helps! 🙂
