I bought a fitbit yesterday not knowing it wasn't compatible with a Sony E5. I would not have bought it had I known this. Is it likely to be compatible soon or will I have to now buy a new phone?

If and when it will be listed as compatible is an unknown. Depends on how popular the phone is. I am now syncing with an LG G6 that is also not listed. My advice is to set up the track with another device, such as a PC or a friend's phone that is listed. Then, sign into your account on your phone and see if it works. Technically, your phone meets all the hardware requirements.
