Message to charge it comes up but it does not say how much left then dies quite a few hrs later.  Very annoying as charging when out in mountains or elsewhere is not what you have in plan.

I believe it uses more battery the more activity you do, seems logical?  I am very frustrated at doing this we/end the longest walk ever I have done in a day.  Charged Surge Friday evening to full, Sat set off on NYM100 at 10.00, 91k steps to midnight.  It of course resets at 00.00 but I am still walking ALL day Sunday but battery warning on phone by mid morning and it dies at 6pm having recorded just 98k steps, by proportion I did 142k that day.  Full battery doing around 80/100k in a week means battery ok for 5/7 days.  Very annoying, I will not be doing another 100 mile walk, so it would have been nice to have it recorded, logging extra is frigging useless too, it does not make sense of what I am telling it.

Problem is that Fitbit only really want to sell things, try get past sales screens to get help! It/they do not actually support idiots who want to use them seriously.

Mike.
