Steps per mile seems low

My Surge seems to use about 2150 steps per mile.  Today, I rolled off 10,263 steps in walking an estimated 13.26 miles for an astonishing 774 steps per mile.  That's a stride of 5280/774 or 6.8 feet per step.  Do I get a special badge for seven foot strides or is my Surge suffering bit rot?  I rebooted but it's still giving me a bogus number of steps per mile.

Hello @EarleW, welcome aboard to our community. My recommendation would be to reset your stride length to the default numbers and sync your tracker. Once you have synced try to enter again your measurements for stride length and sync again your tracker. Also you can remove your tracker and pair again to your account. The steps would be the same when you pair your tracker for the first time but the only difference you need to to do this as an existing user. Although if you are going to do this remember to sync your tracker before.

Looks like something transient. Back to normal the next day. I did check my account yesterday and things were back to normal. Thanks for the good suggestions
