Steps with exercise tracking

Hi

I'm just wondering if it is correct that when I do elliptical training and I use the elliptical setting on the surge it adds to my steps rather than has them as a seperate entity? Dont want to think I've earned more or less steps!

Thanks

It's correct. There is only one log of steps and the Surge counts them and adds them to it all the time regardless of whatever mode it's operating in.

(In the exercise modes, I believe it tracks start and end times and uses those to 'look-up' the steps associated with the exercise from the main step count records.)
