Steps recorded while cycling

Hi

How do I stop steps being recorded whn I'm cycling? Even when I log the exercise in the dash and delete the actual exercise I did it still shows the steps. Also, I shouldn't really have to do this should I? Surely it would be easy to have an action which instructs surge to ignore the steps whilst spinning/cycling etc mode is on! I want to use the HR monitor but not at the cost of a untrue step reading

Thanks

This is a debate of long-standing! The short answer is that it does what it does and 50% of people love it and 50% of people hate it.

If you look on the Feature Request forum, I imagine that someone will have posted a suggestion for an optional setting to switch steps on/off for cycling which you could vote for if you felt so inclined.
