I started on the Surge and after 2 broken straps and a good customer experience I chose to go Blaze. The strap was a big factor and two Surges in a year was a bit much for me. I used the GPS for my outdoor runs and as a new runner this was great for ParkRun. The freedom of not needing my phone and a fast GPS are truly missed.
The competition Polar and NewBalance to name but two have gone Android Wear. I am almost tempted to switch over to the M600 due to its range of support but also as it has combined the Polar ecosystem with Google in one device. A Super Surge 2 with this option would be so welcome although battery level would take a dive. Is there any news of a New Surge or new Fitbit and will come with Android Wear?

I also would love to see a Surge 2, but I think Android Wear would significantly increase the price point.
I have also broken 2 bands on the Surge, but my second one occurred after the year warrenty was up. I have been waiting for a refresh of the Surge, but I may breakdown and switch to the Garmin Vivoactive HR. It appears to be an improvement over Surge because has removable bands, and allows for swimming. I also considered the Polar M600, but it does not have barometric altitude which is very useful for tracking climbs while bicycling.

Nice to see you here @DM2099, welcome! Thank you very much for the feedback and comments about Fitbit Surge and the support received!
It seems to be a fairly common question due to the bumps in the road while using your old Surge, so I wanted to clarify the information in regards to Fitbit updates. Although, we haven't receive any information about the new trackers, Fitbit is always trying to find new ways to surprise our users, so stay tuned! Usually, Fitbit posts updates in the official page Fitbit.com, in our Fitbit Latest News page and here in Forums. It'd be great to have the Android Wear option, but we need to wait and see what the future comes!
I'd advise to stay tuned, until we receive more information from our team, to see what is next!
Have a good!

Since we're somehow debating with a crystal ball to know whether or not a possible new tracker will sport Android Wear or not, let me share my with you my humble opinion.
I'd consider switching to Android Wear a very bad idea.
Look around you and you'll notice that any new watch using Android Wear doesn't promise more than a couple of days of battery life, and this is in the best case scenario. Wouldn't imagine adding a workout with GPS on to the battery load.
We need a watch that lasts several days. After all, we need a watch for sports, for our day to day, for when we're not active, like sleeping. I left the Apple Watch world because I was sick of recharging my watch every single night. I can do with a week of battery, barely acceptable is 5 days, but no less than that. We don't need to play games on a sport watch, or do we?

Thank for sharing your comments @Kapppa and @sclinder!
Well, you had a good point @Kapppa, extended life battery feature is a must when performing any fitness activity, I'm not sure how long other brands last but Surge has a really good battery life even when using it every day!
@sclinder I think that you can pick the a sport watch that fits your usage purposes, doing a little bit of research always help to have a better idea of what you need. You can check our new tracker, recently we had the option to use a tracker to swim (Flex 2).
Catch you later!
