Surge: Miscounting Steps

Hi, I bought my Surge on 11 August. I've sent it up without any trouble but there does seem to be a problem with it counting steps. I have it on my non dominant wrist and it's counting steps when I move my arm. Yesterday, it told me I'd done over 3000 steps; I'm on crutches, with a bad back, so unfortunately there is no way l could have done that many steps. This morning the surge started at 154 steps, before I'd got out of bed! Is there a problem with my surge or I have I done something wrong with the settings? I would appreciate any help you can give.

Best wishes

If you keep it on your non-dominant hand but change your setting to dominant, that should reduce the sensitivity and discount more of your arm movements.
