Surge Sync

Hi,

Is anyone else having problems getting their Surge to sync after a year? I have it set to "All-Day Sync" and "Always Connected" but it doesn't seem to help. At least once a day I have to do the please sync dance:

- restart bluetooth

- log out and back in to app

- restart fitbit

- restart phone

- restart bluetooth

- log out and back in to app

- restart fitbit

- restart phone

It seems to sync randomly sometimes after step one sometimes I need to go through the whole dance a bunch of times it's getting really quite tiresome... Any advice on how I can get it to work more consistently would be appreciated.

Cheers

My surge no longer shows the pair option on the Bluetooth classic and reboots everytime I set it to on.  I can't sync.

Thanks for taking a break from stepping to visit the Community @SunsetRunner and @krisinvabeach! @SunsetRunner This sounds weird! Have you tried updating your Fitbit app? To do uptdate the Fitbit app, open the Google Play store on your device. Then, tap the menu button. There, tap My Apps and choose the Fitbit app. After this, tap Update. If you want automatic updates in the future, check the Allow automatic updating box. Also, please double check if your device is not listed in the known Android devices with issues list

@krisinvabeach If pairing was unsuccessful twice in a row, follow these steps:

  1. On your mobile device, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. In the list of devices, find your tracker.
  3. Tap the icon next to the tracker name and then tap Forget this Device.
  4. Restart your mobile device. Try following @Rich_Laue, tips on this post.
  5. Try setting up music control again.

Good luck and keep me posted with the outcome! 😉
