Just got a surge. I used to log my runs on runkeeper and like comparing run stats, being advised of PB's etc.... Will Fitbit do all this on my surge or do I now need to run with my surge and my phone anyway to collect this data on runkeeper? Kinda defeats the point of getting the gps version of a Fitbit if this is the case.....

Welcome to the Fitbit Forums @Pebbles72! You can start tracking your Runs, Hiking, out door cycling activities... with your Surge without the necessity of having your phone with you. At the end of the activity your Surge will display some stats where you can see data like: length of the activity, distance, heart rate, calories burned, steps (if applicable) and altitud. However, you will need to sync it in order to see the map. Once you have synced you will get the following information:

              map.PNG

 Hope this clarifies your inquiry.

Been out for a run today, all seems good.... Will it notify me though if I've run a PB? Or do I need to check back over previous runs to see?
