Surge band defective

I also have had the bubbling or delaminating issue with the band on my fitbit surge. Twice in 8 months. My wife also on her charge hr. Simply replacing the product while the warranty exists is a lame solution to a pretty obvious flaw. I can buy a $5 watchband at walmart and have it last for a decade. The company neefs to come up with a better solution. I for one won't buy another device that doesn't even have the option of a replacement band like several of their other products do. $250 is a high price to pay for a design flaw that never gets fixed.

The Flex was the only previous wrist based tracker with a exchangeable band, exchangeable bands came back with the Fitbit Blaze, Alta, Charge 2 & Flex 2.

When desired if Fitbit decides giving a replacement, possible to sell on a second hand website and use the money towards getting a tracker with a exchangeable band.

Just got on here to post the exact same thing. My wife and myself both have Surge's and they are both doing the bubbling problem. This is the 2nd time that this has happened on my in about the 6-8 months. I want to know what is being done about it. i have to keep going back to Best Buy to get replacement watches, which isn't a problem (Best Buy is really good about it) but it is still a pain.

I don't see how selling a device with an obvious design flaw to someone is a reasonable solution.  if a $5 watchband from Walmart can last me 5-7 years, why can't  a $250 product do the same?
