Three Fitbit Surges dead in 18 months. One warranty replacement. This product is junk, and Fitbit has failed to honor replacement of clearly defective product. I am very disappointed.

Sorry, need to clarify - I've received two warranty replacements in 18 months. All three Surges failed to sync after about 6 months. I have 3 otherwise perfect Surges and none of them will sync. In this day and age, for high-tech wearables, this performance is dismal and completely unacceptable. Fitbit sells junk products with defects. One failure is understandable, three identical failures of the same type, on the same device, is indicative of major manufacturing and/or quality deficiencies. I am (was) a loyal Fitbit customer and also own a Charge 2, which has performed adequately for about a year of use with only a band failure. However, it's days are limited as well since the screen is cracked. Once this device fails I will happily move on to another manufacturer for my wearable fitness devices. Sorry Fitbit, another customer you will lose due to defective products.

I'm not sure if your asking for help, or just venting. If asking ng for help we will need more info on what devices are used to sync through.

Both of my 4 year old surges are still working fine and being used by my brothers.

There is no request for help - my 3 Surges are non-functional over a period of 18 months. I've spent countless hours attempting to fix the issue. I have received 2 warranty replacements over the 1 year warranty period, and the third Surge failed 6 months after the warranty expired. All three failed the same way. My post is simply to inform users that this product is defective and to not invest their hard earned money into products that Fitbit refuses to acknowledge has major systemic quality defects. That's great that your Surges have performed for a long period of time - a quick look at this message board suggests that your experience is exceptional. Maybe the other Fitbit products are better? Personally, I will most likely never buy a Fitbit again after this experience with defective Surges. I wish I had realized, prior to investing money into a Fitbit, that there were these types of quality issues.

Saying that all 3 failed the same way doesn't give much details on the way the failed .

As for as the community help board goes, you missing one big point in your assessment. This is a place people go for help, so yes you will see posts from those that are looking for help. We usually do not expect, but occasionally do, see posts from those that have trarckers that are eoworki fine.

Unless I know how many of the Surge trackers have been sold, the amount of complaints means absolutely nothing.

Sorry about what happened to your replacement bands, we don't want to create frustration in our customers; since Fitbit has been designed to provide motivation and help you to reach your daily goals to success.
