Surge flashing on logo, no solution

Hi!

I've found several threads here on this topic but my issue is still not solved.  I was charging my Surge when I noticed the display is flashing on the fitbit logo.

I have tried:

  • Powering off and on
  • Reset by holding left and bottom right buttons for 45 seconds, then restarting after 10 seconds
  • Reset by holding all buttons for 45 seconds, then restarting after 10 seconds

Nothing is working.  As soon as I power back up, it resumes with the flashing logo. The heartrate sensor lights do not blink.  There is no response on the touch screen.  I have had and used this for about a year without any issues (too late to return).

Are there any other options?

See what they can do for you. But sometimes doing several restarts solves the problem

Welcome to our family @benchilcote, welcome! I'm glad to see you here. Sorry about your Surge, it looks like it got stuck you can try to "Set it up" with your phone or your computer.  Please check the requirements and follow the the next steps:

  • The software on your mobile device is updated. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • The Bluetooth setting on your mobile device is on. To check, tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  • If you use more than one Bluetooth phone, tablet, or computer to sync, the other one isn't nearby (or has Bluetooth disabled).
  • Your tracker's battery isn't critically low, in your case keep it on the charger while Setting it up.

Steps:

  1. Restart your Surge a couple of times and make sure that it is fully charged
  2. Open Fitbit App > Account > Set up a device

It's best to use a computer since your Fitbit is requesting an update. For more information to set it up with a computer check this post.

If this doesn't work follow @WendyB suggestion and contact Customer Support!

Good luck with your Surge! Heart
