Hi, @Beyourbest , I am pretty sure the reason you have lost steps is because you have two devices on your account (I do too, so this sometimes happens to me). The program does support more than one device, but I have found that it is important to make sure you sync when you switch devices. So, if you were wearing your One all day at work, and then put your Surge on for a workout, you need first to sync your One AND your Surge -- if you don't want to lose steps you need to make sure when you put on your Surge it is showing the steps you have already recorded on your One (sometimes you may need to force the sync a couple of times to make sure both devices say the same number of steps -- once they do, it is fine to switch.)
If you don't do this carefully you will probably lose some steps -- not all! The program does its best to reconcile the numbers...
I hope this helps. Welcome to the Community!

Hello there @Beyourbest! I'd like to know if you could make your Surge work as per @Julia_G's advice. Besides that you can also try to set up your tracke as a new device. I noticed you wrote from an iOS device, so I think these instructions may help:
Hope this helps!
