A warm welcome to the Community @eecape and @SunsetRunner thanks for stopping by and the instructions provided. One of the possible causes the tracker is not charging properly are: The USB port or outlet is faulty, the tracker isn't connected securely to the charging cable, or the the contacts on the tracker or charging cable are dirty.
So my recommendations are to try a different port. A UL-certified wall charger will also work. Don't use a USB hub. Check the alignment and try reconnecting your tracker to the charging cable and the last is to clean the the charging contacts on the back of your tracker to ensure they stay bronze or gold in color.
