Fitbit Surge not tracking sleep

I just received my Surge last week. It only tracked sleep for a few days then stopped. I've done the reset procedure several times, but still no sleep tracking. I did do the sw update when I first powered it up. It's runnung ver 16.345.14. Everything else appears to be working fine except the sleep tracking. I'm assuming that switching hands does not affect the unit. I been wearing the watch on my right hand all day. But at night, I switch to my left to give my right wrist a break. This is a very expensive, new watch. I expect ALL functions to work. Again, please note, I've done the reset. Now what?
