Surge not holding charge

Hi All,

My first post here so I hope it is in the right place.

My surge wont hold charge for more than a few hours. Are there any basic things I can do to try and get it running properly again?

Thanks

Jon

Hi, @oddjob1984, all rechargeable batteries deteriorate over time, and your Surge may be coming to the end of its life.  You could try cleaning the contacts and then giving it a restart and a really good charge, but if that doesn't help, I am afraid that your best bet would be to get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on contact.fitbit.com.  Even if your Fitbit is out of warranty I know they are often able to offer loyal customers a discount on a new device.  Maybe time for an upgrade?  The Ionic has many of the best features of the Surge with some nice extras.

Sense, Charge 5, Inspire 2; iOS and Android
