For the last 2 Bootcamp sessions I have completed my surge won't recognise it as exercise but does recognise activity. It has recognised when I go for a walk but not when I do other acitivities. Please help!

You can log it manually as an activity.

I know I can but the whole idea of a Fitbit surge is it picks it up and does it itself with HR and other things involved that I can't log manually.

How do you track strength training when you go to the gym?

Hello @Renee91, and @Jeannie99 welcome to our Community. One of the alternative is like @kawaiiko mentioned here.

Now if your bootcamp sessions are not recognized but it recognized your walk, we are talking of two different features. There are exercise shortcuts that include the exercise you are doing but is require to activate this directly from your tracker by selecting it from the exercise screen. Make sure you enable first the exercise on your trackers setting from your Dashboard though.

Now the other feature is SmartTrack, that a variety of exercise that include the most basics activities, In order to use this feature is not require to start it from your tracker as it will automatically will be recorded and logged as the walk you mentioned before.

The previous screenshot shows the Exercise shortcuts vs the automatically recognized activities.

@Jeannie99, this exercise is complicate to track since is not like a regular work, In my case when I do weight lifting, I start the option of Workout from my Surge, as it is more general for strength or when the exercise do not fall in any of the default activities.

Hope it helps and see you around.
