I have used the GPS to log cycling activity which is shown in the fitbit app (11 miles), but it also adds 6500 steps and 15 floors climbed, sure this should not happen?

Hope you're enjoying your day @Jd88, good to see in here in the Forums! Having some steps while biking is not totally crazy. Fitbit trackers have a finely tuned algorithm for step counting. The algorithm is designed to look for intensity and motion patterns that are most indicative of people walking and running. On bumpy trails it's possible that your tracker will register steps but these should be negligible in your overall stats. Have you tried checking your Dashboard online to see how many steps are being tracked during the specif bike exercise? I you do can you please send a screenshot so I can take a look on your case. (see picture below)

Steps on Dashboard.pngYou can log in into your Dashboard online > Log > Activities. The graph shows the timeline for the day, if you hoover your mouse on the lines will you the amount of steps and specific time.

Keep me posted, I'll be around.
